It is a favorite International Destination chosen by Indian Students which gives them an English-speaking Environment. UK has modern learning and Multicultural Environment. UK also has multiple intakes with some short duration of courses. It also provides some research facilities. UK is the second most popular destination for international students, behind the US.

Lower tuition costs: Since some courses in UK are short duration it saves some amount of tuition fee. Maximum courses fees are low and affordable.

Work while you study: Number of job opportunities and work experience are available for international students while they are completing their courses in UK. International students can do part-time work up to 20 hours a week during term time and full-time work during holidays. Students can earn around £ 5 - £ 7 per hour i.e. approx. £400 - £560 per month during the course. Students could look out for part-time jobs looking in the local newspapers and job shops. Many Universities and Colleges have career cells and work placement centers to help the student find some job or internship. However, Universities and colleges don’t guarantee part time employment. If students are going to UK as a student for 6 months or less, you must ask the Entry Clearance Officer for permission to work.

Post-graduate work permit: A successful applicant has 2 years to live and work in UK with the graduate visa. If the applicant had a partner and dependent child with them in UK on their student visa, then they can be transferred to the IGS visa. Otherwise they have to apply for entry clearance.

Language test eligibility criteria

IELTS minimum score of 6.5 for Postgraduate and 6.0 for Undergraduate Studies.

TOEFL minimum score of 90 (Internet Based Test) for Postgraduate and 80 (Internet Based Test) for Undergraduate Studies.

Exemption is possible if student has scored above 70% in English language in the X and XII standard. (English Medium) & if medium of instruction throughout school & college was English.
Exams for studying in UK

Students need to pass one or more test before they get selected by universities and colleges for admission. Students need to appear for test like GRE, GMAT, SAT to get into any desired university or college. Other test i.e. Language Test that are considered are TOEFL and IELTS.

Education System in UK

The education system in the UK is divided into four main parts, primary education, secondary education, further education and higher education. Children in the UK have to legally attend primary and secondary education which runs from about 5 years old until the student is 16 years old.

The education system in the UK is also split into "key stages" which breaks down as follows
- Key Stage 1: 5 to 7 years old
- Key Stage 2: 7 to 11 years old
- Key Stage 3: 11 to 14 years old
- Key Stage 4: 14 to 16 years old

Generally key stages 1 and 2 will be undertaken at primary school and at 11 years old a student will move onto secondary school and finish key stages 3 and 4.
